Is not what you're probably thinking, and allows you to make insane profits!
You know how people tell you it's not what you know, but who you know? Or lament that they just weren't in the right place at the right time? Well, thank your lucky stars because today you are in a unique position to take advantage of the greatest time in human history and the convergence of some incredible trends in business.
The Internet is the fastest growing source to sell in the world today. The home-based business phenomenon continues to explode. All of this combines to make information marketing the estimated highest-paid profession in the world!
What industry makes more than the pharmaceutical industry, food industry and consumer goods industry combined? Home-based business. It is a $427 Billion a year industry! That's bigger than General Motors, Ford and Chrysler all put together! As of the end of 2005 more than 150 million people were enjoying the freedom and benefits of owning their own home-based Internet business.
According to a 2000 report from the Small Business Administration (SBA) Office of Advocacy, nearly 20,000 entrepreneurs (each) grossed more than $1 million operating a home-based business. While not everybody has the dedication to make that kind of money, surveys indicate that the average income for an income-generating home office is $63,000 a year. Apparently, even on the low end, the possibility of being paid what you're worth is more likely in a home-based environment.
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates that there are over 18.3 million home-based businesses in the United States. Home-based businesses represent 52 percent of all small firms and provide 10 percent of the total receipts of the economy, or about $314 billion. While it's true that it takes money to make money, starting your own home-based business is relatively inexpensive, with most requiring $5,000 or less (some a lot less) for start-up.
A survey done by Home Office Computing magazine stated that of the people who had started their own home-based business, 98% are happier working from home, 96% would recommend working at home to others, and 88% would never return to the corporate world! Have you ever even heard of another work place or industry with only 2-12% dissatisfied or unhappy workers? I thought not.
In fact, it's a sign of the economic times that 1500 or more jobs are eliminated daily in the U.S. In 2005 (the last year for which statistics were available) the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics claimed that mass layoffs had reached a 10-year peak in the first quarter of 2005. In January 2005 alone there were 2,564 different large layoffs, affecting 239,454 workers. As we all know, things have only gotten worse since then.
There is one problem with the Internet. With over a billion sites out there, the greatest problem of Internet advertising is its inability to break through the clutter! That's where you come in. You are sitting on top of the opportunity of a lifetime. You can be the one in the right place at the right time, and reap the rewards. You don't have to create your own website, research the marketplace, create a product, mess with graphics, or any of the other million things associated with starting a home-based Internet business.
The Internet marketplace, simply by its pure existence, has created the need for people who can place media, which in turn generates a response. Simple as that. Many large companies are recognizing the need for someone to perform these specialized skills and are looking to hire people who can perform these and related tasks, such as search engine optimization (SEO). What this means to you is that millions of small, home-based businesses need people who can perform this skill set for them. By learning these skills you not only have a marketable skill set, but also place yourself in a prime position to have a successful, lucrative home-based business of your own.
