Getting Creative Earning
Extra Income

With the economy in such a dismal state, the American dream of success may be diminishing for many. Perhaps it's time to consider sources of income in addition to your job. Check out the ideas suggested in this article by guest author Michael Horton.

It is becoming more difficult to pay the bills and buy groceries not to mention funding things like college and retirement. For many the American dream of success may be diminishing. This is causing an increasing number of people to consider sources of income in addition to their job.

In fact, it could be said that the way of the future is for people to create as many income streams as possible. This may include a regular job or it may not.

The traditional way to create extra income is to get a second job or a part-time job. People are pursuing more creative ways, however, especially those people who have an itch to be an entrepreneur, who want to have their own business, or who want to use the power of the internet.

If these match your interests, here are some suggestions:

Consider something you can do by phone and/or online. This saves travel time and costs, child care challenges, and allows you to work more on your own schedule.

Look for something that pays daily. Nothing reinforces our effort like immediate compensation.

Find a product you can market that helps people improve their life. Our work can be much more meaningful and satisfying when we know that others are benefiting significantly from the product or service.

Look for a product that provides renewal income. The goal here is to supplement or create a different retirement income as well.

Find an opportunity that you can include as part of your estate or that you can sell. In addition to your motivation to create extra income now, you can be further motivated by knowing that your family can benefit from your work in the future.

Connect with a reputable company that will support your effort with training, a personal web site, national promotions, and a progressive vision.

Extra income opportunities can be life changing if they are chosen carefully and managed well. These opportunities can open other doors of potential in our life. They can provide ways for us to be creative and innovative we may not have considered previously.
